I'm an experience designer with many site and product launches under my belt and every day I enjoy being faced with new unique challenges. It's rewarding solving real world problems through design thinking and creating solutions that add value for our users which also exceed our business goals.

 

I build strong cross-functional partnerships with PMs, product owners, and developers to launch amazing and successful experiences that we are all proud of.

My current role is an IX team lead on HP's subscription services team. My team is on point for supporting our 10+ million subscribed customers of our HP Instant Ink (ink replenishment service) and newly launched HP+ program (a smart printing solution) collectively. Projects include pilot programs and new product introductions, maintaining and improving our e-commerce/payment management platforms, and conversion funnel optimization.

HP Smart is used by millions of HP customers to setup, manage, and complete their daily productivity tasks using their multi-function printers. As a lead product designer on the HP Smart  team, I'm responsible for launching new and improving existing product features across all app platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, and MacOS) working in an agile design and development framework. No new project is the same but I stick to a similar process; discover insights through research then define experiences objectives while tying them to business objectives. I then develop the design artifacts needed to communicate intent (logic flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes), user test and iterate, then deliver visual designs. HP Smart is available in your app store.

YMCA of San Diego County is the 2nd largest YMCA in the nation but their website was not reflective of the organizations off-line capabilities. With 20 locations not adhering to any consistent content structure, or an easy way to purchase memberships or programs, the user-experience became a struggle to use.

 

As lead UX strategist, and UI designer, I was responsible for building a site in which future and current members could easily complete their tasks. We created a consistent content organization for each location to follow, a simple user-flow for new membership sign-ups,  a new member account management dashboard, and an improved e-commerce funnel for purchasing programs/classes. The whole experience has been crafted around current and future Y members needs and the result is a beautiful website that is easy to use and optimized for conversion.

Hensel Phelps is one of the largest builders in the nation. The challenge here was to successfully consolidate the amount of content they had for their robust service offerings and distilling in to meaningful and digestible content, while elevating their slew of innovative and award winning work in the industry.

 

The new website showcases their expertise in their field through stunning photography, content-rich case studies and is a much more streamlined approach to featuring their capabilities as an organization.

Merlone Geier Partners is a large, private investment real estate group. As lead UX strategist, and lead UI designer, I was responsible for a full site redesign. Goals were to establish the company’s credibility among the various key audience groups by highlighting the companies service differentiators and to increase brand awareness by refreshing brand’s image by designing a new website with a modern and easy to use interface.

Fresh on the heels of a visual re-brand, North Island Credit Union needed a new web presence and strategy to stay competitive in the finance and banking space. As the product design lead I was responsible for creating a site with an overall improved experience that optimized the site for conversion of new membership and retained existing members.

 

Deliverables included competitive analysis , IA, wireframes, interactive prototypes and visual design.

Quality Assurance Benchmarks provide an objective method for ensuring the production and presentation of quality jewelry.

 

We created a fully-responsive, drupal-based site which can scale as GIA continues to grow and add more interactive training content. I was the lead information architect, UX designer and UI designer on this project.
